Delicious Rhubarb Cake

It’s on Marmiton I discovered this recipe cake to rhubarb . I modified it following the feedback. Not all in fact. Those that stated:

With much less sugar it is higher. There was 2 x 200 g within the preliminary recipe and I adopted the critiques which indicated that 2 x 100 g was sufficient. They had been proper, it is too good.


I didn’t contemplate these:

– I changed rhubarb with strawberries,
– As an alternative of milk I used cream,
– I want Maizena to flour, it is lighter
– With honey it is too good
– A the place of the eggs I put bananas (I am kidding ..)
– and so forth.

For 1 cake (24 cm missed mould)

=> For the cake dough:

  • 100 g of butter
  • 100 g of brown sugar
  • 3 natural eggs
  • 200 g flour
  • 125 ml of milk half skimmed
  • 1 sachet of baking powder
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar

=> for the filling:

  • 500 g  rhubarb (peeled)
  • 75 g of butter
  • 100 g of brown sugar

Put together the rhubarb. Take away the ends, taper the stems and wash them. Lower into cubes about 2 cm aside.

Lower 75 g butter into cubes. Put them in a mould to overlook, add the brown sugar and put within the oven for ten minutes at 80 levels, the time that it melts and it caramelizes barely. Then take out the oven and put the items of rhubarb in it.

Preheat oven to 180 ° C (thermostat 6), rotating warmth.

In the meantime, minimize the 100 g butter into cubes. Whip it till you get a creamy consistency. Add the sugar and whip once more. Then add the eggs, then the flour, the milk, the vanilla sugar and the baking powder.

Pour this cake batter over the items of rhubarb and prepare dinner for 40 minutes.

After this time, take the cake out of the oven and wait 10 minutes. Then flip it on the serving dish, it would unmold alone.


Let cool earlier than consuming.

I simply ate it for my breakfast, it is an excessive amount of too good. That is THE rhubarb cake.
